Tasty iPod Goodness
So playing with the Nano has lead me to a lot of iPod tastiness.
- Anapod - Anapod is a great tool for managing your iPod. It lets you transfer music in and out of your iPod, and gives you control over playlists, photos, et cetera. Affordable, and decently featured. It doesn't presently manage the Podcasts smart playlist that is so crucial to easily enjoying your podcasts.
- Yamipod - Similar to Anapod, but simpler. It does music transfers. It plays directly from the iPod. It does tagging, and more. Two things make it more interesting than iPod: it is completely free, and it is a single executable file that you can run from the iPod itself. Very cool.
- Juice Receiver - A great RSS/podcast reader/receiver. I like it a great deal. It will even put them into iTunes. It won't manage the Podcasts smart playlist, but maybe with some luck it will one day.
- Tartan Podcast - Scottish music. Good stuff.
- The Ricky Gervais Podcast - Ricky, Stephen Merchant, and their "pal" Karl Pilkington. Hilarity in podcast form.
- Electronic Periodic - Great podcast of a mix of independent electronic music. Very enjoyable.
- Indie Feed - There are different genre Indie Feeds. One song per cast. Interesting stuff, but not as enjoyable as Electronic Periodic.
- Science Friday Podcast - Nearly every bit of broadcast from Science Friday on NPR is published as a broadcast.
- WGBH Morning Story - Another slice of NPR goodness.
- Some interesting podcasts: Fetish Flame, Rope Weekly, Kinky Sex Radio, Open Source Sex.
