Enough time has passed
...for me to post another entry. I don't really have much of anything to write about, so this will probably be a really long post.
We went to yet another great geek wedding last night. I am so glad our geek friends put a little personality into their nuptu...nupchi...nuptials (how the hell is that word spelled anyway!?) We had a good time and I got to dance for the first time in ages. Of course, not with DFA, though. Thanks, Chuck!
DFA is still sickified. He has been feeling worse throughout the day, it seems. Poor sickie. I have offered to give him homeopathic remedies, but he refuses. I might have to sneak them into his drink. I hope he doesn't read this ;o)
We went to see "Borat" Friday night. I laughted so hard I nearly lost my dinner. My abs still haven't fully recovered. Much fun was had. My new favorite name for a swimsuit is "water panties"
My concert is next week! Then the week after that is Thanksgiving. Then the week after that I am heading back to Owensboro for an Alumni Madrigal Dinner weekend. 4 glorious days and 3 fabulous nights in good ol' O'boro. Singing Christmas music. I don't really like Christmas music, but I was so excited about seeing people again (nobody goes to class reunions at my college) that I forgot I don't like Christmas music. Or Christian music, for that matter. There's some of that, too. Ah, well. I can fake it like I did when I was a student. And I actually think it will be fun to see everyone. I also have a line. I have been rehearsing it:
He that would woo a widow must not dally,Yeah, I'm not sure what that's all about, either. As a former acting student, I am confused about my motivation in this scene. In the context of the script, it still doesn't make much sense. My cue is the whole group says "We proclaim this a time of love!" I don't know what that has to do with widows, but there it is...
He must make hay while the sun doth shine,
He must not stand with her, shall I, shall I,
But boldly say, "Widow, thou must be mine!"
Well, that's enought blathering for this evening. I think I'll go find something else to do now.
