Ah! baseball...

Well, the Bats lost to the Durham Bulls 10-2 but a grand time was had by me at the ballpark this evening.

Jason got free tickets from work. There were thunderstorms this afternoon and we were afraid the game would be rained out, but we decided to go anyway and it turned out to be a beautiful, breezy night.

I really like baseball. It's slow enough that I can follow what's going on most of the time and there's a sense of history to it that makes it interesting to me. I made Jason stay for the whole game - even though it was clear that the Bats were not going to win. I just enjoyed being in the park and watching the game. and making up silly nicknames for the players like HiphopoVattomous and Fancy Pants Dickerson. I promise, these names were created from a loving place.

Yay baseball!
