Kitchen Renovation

The kitchen renovation here at Geek Manor is proceeding. Stage one is done, with the cabinets of one wall complete. The first of the ovens is in, but we're still waiting on the other oven and the (very large) fridge.

I spent a pretty big amount of time with the sheetrock and mudding of the wall behind the cabinets, but I hate to admit that it was a lot of fun. We LOVE the new double oven...Trivection is cool stuff!

Waiting for a slow-down...and it never comes. Tons of work to do on the house, tons of work to do at work, just got back from a hectic vacation in the Bay Area, can barely keep up with the yard work. GAH!

Been taking a ton of photos, however. And since I'm a Google-whore, I've started posting them to Picasa. Some of the pics from the recent Robert Rich concert are pretty good. They definitely helped me relearn how to shoot in the dark during a concert, which I've not done since shooting PJ Harvey concerts several years ago.

I definitely need to pick up a couple more pieces of gear for the camera...some flash diffusers/bouncers, a battery grip, and a couple different lenses. What I've got so far is great, and is making me a better photographer...I just want to go further.

I thinking of starting a stock photography business to make money on the side...
