So I've been switched for a week now.  The macbook is very sexy.  The interface is amazing.  I must admit that I am in love with technology for the first time in a long time.

The kitchen renovation here at Geek Manor is proceeding.  Stage one is done, with the cabinets of one wall complete.  The first of the ovens is in, but we're still waiting on the other oven and the (very large) fridge.


I spent a pretty big amount of time with the sheetrock and mudding of the wall behind the cabinets, but I hate to admit that it was a lot of fun. I had intended to keep up with the blog more.  I'm glad I got the info up on Feb's 3RD when I did, because on-call for work has been ruining my life lately.


I have had maybe two good nights of sleep in the last week.  The rest have been up and down affairs answering problems at work in the wee hours, all hours of the day, all the way up to bedtime. Life has been chaotic the last several months.  Work, home, family, friends...it's been an up and down side to side rollercoaster of a ride the last few months.


Alan's job got out-sourced.  Luckily, he found a short-term contract to pay the bills.  And who knows? Despite not having updated the website, this 3RD is on.  We promise.


Smacky won't be around for this 3RD...she's busy practicing with the local symphony for the upcoming Lord Of The Rings performances.  Never the less, I'll be around the house, and the door is open to all who wish to drop by.
